RHINEBECK HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES
CLASS OF 2024 VALEDICTORIAN AND SALUTATORIAN
The faculty of Rhinebeck High School is proud to announce Class of 2024 Valedictorian Laila Alam and Salutatorian Lena Sealey-Nicotra.
Laila Alam is the current President of the Rhinebeck High School Student Council and has served as Class President (22-23) and Vice President (20-22). She is the Co-Founder and Co-President of the RHS No Place for Hate Committee. In addition, Laila has played principal roles in RHS Drama Club productions of James and the Giant Peach (2023), Once Upon a Mattress (2022), and The Addams Family (2021). She is the recipient of the AP Scholar with Distinction Award, the 2023 Carson Scholar Award, and the MHAL Scholar Athlete Award. Ms. Alam is the daughter of Lena Patel and Tanvir Alam of Rhinebeck and will attend the University of Pennsylvania Wharton in the fall.
Salutatorian Lena Sealey-Nicotra is a member of the RHS No Place for Hate Committee, the Varsity Crew Team, and the RHS Pit Band. She is also a Residential Lifeguard and Counselor at Ramapo for Children. Lena is the recipient of RIT Women in STEM Award, the Donald J. Closs Memorial Award, and the NYSBDA Outstanding Musician Award (2022 and 2023). Ms. Sealey-Nicotra is the daughter of Lisa Nicotra and Lenora Sealey of Rhinebeck and will attend Dartmouth College in the fall.
