RHINEBECK HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA CLUB will present Myth Adventures: Five Greek Classics, a drama/comedy written by Eric Coble, on Friday, November 17th and and Saturday November 18th at 7pm in the Joseph A. Phelan Auditorium, 45 North Park Road, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.

In a whirlwind of thrills and comedy, journey into the ancient world of Greek mythology with some of the greatest characters ever to grace a stage. Do you dare to shake hands with King Midas (Trayse Kasnia-Herman)? Or find yourself, like poor Echo (Genevieve Oleszewski), in the middle of the ultimate marriage battle between the king and queen of the gods? And why can’t Narcissus (Eamon Erdman) pull himself away from that pool of water? Follow the world’s greatest musician, Orpheus (Elliot VanSteenburg), on his quest for the one thing his music can’t do– bring back his dead love Euridice (Claire Frischknecht). Can his art save him in his journey to the Underworld where he’ll face Charon (Sarah Coggeshall), the undead boatman, Cerberus (Mackenzie Massarone, Anna Quattrone, Annika Haile), the three-headed hound, and Hades (Nina Smith), the twisted King of the Dead? And when you’re the son of the most famous inventor in history, how do you make a name for yourself? Icarus (Sarah Coggeshall) only has minutes to figure it out once he’s locked in a tower with his absent-minded father, Daedalus (Mackenzie Massarone). Just how high can you fly before you fall? Then it’s time to follow Theseus (Trayse Kasnia-Herman) as he tracks down the horrifying minotaur in the labyrinth. He’s determined to be a true hero, but will he survive long enough for the world to even remember his name? Join these actors and more in Myth Adventures: a fresh look at classic legends directed by Cynthia Baer, with production manager & lighting director, Joe Baer, and a hard-working student Stage and Tech Crew.
