Budget Vote & Election - Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Thank you to all who participated in the 2026-2027 school budget vote and Board of Education election. 

We are pleased to announce that the proposed school budget passed with a vote of 379 in favor and 85 opposed. A passing rate over 80%. Your continued support helps ensure that we can provide high-quality educational opportunities for all our students.

In the Board of Education election, Rose Ann Serpico and Benjamin Moffat, incumbents, were elected to serve three-year terms on the Board of Education effective July 1, 2026.

RESULTS: 

School Budget Vote:  379 Yes   85 No

School Board Trustees: 

Benjamin Moffat - 388 

Rose Ann Serpico - 390 

 

Qualified Voters  - A qualified voter must be 18 years old by the day of the vote, a citizen of the United States and a resident within the Rhinebeck Central School District for 30 days immediately preceding the vote, and not otherwise prohibited from voting. 

Absentee Ballot  & Early Mail Voting Applications/Instructions

If you need an Absentee Ballot or an Early Mail Voting application, links are below.  The first day an absentee or early mail ballot application can be accepted is on April, 20, 2026.  The absentee and early mail ballot application need to be received by May 12, 2026 if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter.   If the application is delivered in person to the District Clerk (45 N. Park Rd, Rhinebeck, NY), the application must be received no later than the day before the election. Public Hearing on the Budget

The public hearing on the budget will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  This is an opportunity for the public to see the final budget as presented by the Superintendent.
