If you’re thinking about running for the board, not sure yet, or just got elected, then you’ve come to the right place. Here you’ll find a wealth of information about school board service – from considering whether or not to be a school board candidate, to running for school board, to serving your first term.
Dutchess County School Boards Association Sponsored Workshop- Scheduled for Saturday, March 21st, 9:00 am to 11:00 am. at DC BOCES Conference Center. Refreshments will be served. To register, email [email protected]. Meeting materials will be emailed prior to the meeting.
Anyone considering running for election to a local school board is invited to attend this annual workshop. Current school board members and a superintendent of schools will join a school attorney to give a broad perspective of the role of a school board member. There is no fee for this workshop, however, registration is requested.
