STEM and Science Collaborations on Display at CLS
There's something to celebrate this January, so SAVE the DATE: Ribbon-Cutting for the CLS STEM Lab - Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 6:00 pm
CLS's new STEM LAB will celebrate with an official opening and open house. The lab will be open for students, parents, and the community to explore and ask questions. It's already had amazing reviews from primary students. Thanks to the Rhinebeck Science Foundation for the support to establish this 21st century learning space and program.
And later that evening...SCIENCE NIGHT OUT at CLS, 6:00-7:30 pm
This program has become so popular that it's been expanded. College students from Bard College's Center for Civic Engagement will entertain and excite by doing hands-on experiments with CLS students. Fun and learning will happen with dancing goo, bridge-building, magnetic fluids, and foam explosions! It’s a great night for all K-5 students and their parents.
NEW THIS YEAR - Rhinebeck Middle School students have been working with Bard CCE Students for months to bring experiments of their own to CLS on Jan 22. Kids will see thrilling demonstrations in biology, chemistry, physics, computer science and math.
Science Night Out is an RSF, Bard CCE, and RCSD collaborative, showing how great things happen when the community comes together!
