Boys Soccer Team Keeps the Dream Alive, Advances to State Class C Title Game

The Rhinebeck Varsity Boys Soccer Team, in gold jerseys, tied their semifinal State Class C tournament game today with 8 seconds left in the game, sending the game into overtime.  The team prevailed by scoring a goal in the first 15 minute "sudden victory" overtime period, winning the game by a score of 2-1.

As soon in the attached video clip, a free kick near the corner from Andy Rosenzweig, finished by Rennie Graziano, knotted the score at 1-1 before the end of regulation time. Ryan Euell finished the contest with a goal about halfway through the first 15 minute OT period.

The team faces World of Inquiry High School, from Rochester, NY, winner of the other Class C game today against Potsdam, in Sunday's State championship game at 12:30 pm at Faller Field in Middletown, NY.
