Fourth Quarter Interim Reports for BMS/RHS Students Available Through Parent Portal On 5/23/14
We have reached the midway point of the fourth quarter of the 2013-14 school year, and interim reports are now available, effective today, Friday, May 23, 2014. For several years, we have been providing to our parents the benefit of password-protected on-line access to middle school or high school students’ grades, as well as interim reports and grade reports since the 2009-10 school year that are archived in SchoolTool, our student information database. We make this available in an effort to improve our communications to parents about student achievement, as well as to save taxpayer money on paper and postage and to make better use of our clerical resources.
In order to access the SchoolTool “parent portal” to view a student’s fourth quarter interim report, parents will need to log on to https://st-rb.mhric.org/rhinebeck/default.aspx. Information, directions, links, and tips on accessing the SchoolTool “parent portal,” whether for the first time or as a returnee, can be found at the Rhinebeck Central School District’s website, at www.rhinebeckcsd.org. Parents need simply to click on the “SchoolTool Parent Portal” link in the vertical Quick Links directory on the left hand side of the main page, the BMS page or the RHS page.
As a reminder, recall that parents must use the primary e-mail address that they have on file with the Rhinebeck Central School District. This will enable them to log in to SchoolTool to access their child’s fourth quarter interim report. If they have not done so already, parents will need to set their own 8+ digit password for current and future access. If parents have any questions or problems using SchoolTool, they are advised to contact their child’s building principal or guidance counselor so we can connect them with the necessary assistance.
We will be making these reports available to parents/guardians onlythrough the parent portal unless they have requested that we send a hard copy through the US Mail. If parents wish to start receiving a hard copy of their child’s interim report or grade report in the future, they should e-mail their child’s building principal (Bulkeley Middle School:email@example.com ; Rhinebeck High School:firstname.lastname@example.org ) with that request. Otherwise, we will notify parents by e-mail when interim or grade reports are available online so they can access your child’s report immediately, through SchoolTool’s “parent portal” using their secure personal password, without waiting for the US mail to be delivered to the home.
The District thanks parents for their overwhelming support of this quicker, more efficient, and less expensive means of communicating with you about their child’s academic progress.
