First Morning and Evening
The first 2016-17 Coffee Hour with the Board of Education, scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2016. Twice that day, the Rhinebeck Central School District Board of Education will hold the first in this year's series of informal “Coffee Hours” that are open to parents, students, staff, and other members of the community.
The specific themes that the Board has decided to target for the November 17th Coffee Hour will be providing feedback on the newly-instituted School Start Time pilot program, to explore how the concept of a later school start time, especially for students in the middle and high school grades, is working in practice. These Coffee Hours will also present an opportunity to ask questions and seek additional information about the Capital Project Referendum scheduled for December 6, 2016. As always, the floor is open for questions or comments on any topics of interest to those in attendance.
Rhinebeck Board of Education “Coffee Hours” will be held on Thursday, November 17th at the Chancellor Livingston Elementary School Community Room from 9:00 to 10:00 am, and at the Bulkeley Middle School/Rhinebeck High School Library from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
Several members of the Board of Education will attend each of the two “Coffee Hours” that day to meet with constituents to hear and discuss the public’s thoughts about the idea on these, or other, topics in a casual, relaxed setting over coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Your interests about these and other school matters are the agenda. There will be no formal program or presentation, just an opportunity for parents, students and other community members to interact with Board members in an informal setting to discuss any school-related matters of interest.
