Parents and caregivers of ENL students are invited to an interactive presentation entitled, Supporting Our English Language Learners. This presentation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM in the Chancellor Livingston School Community Room. In this presentation, families will learn how their child became eligible for ENL services, how they may exit, and what the service looks like inside the classroom. Families will have an opportunity to ask questions of their child’s ENL teacher and receive suggestions on how to help their child’s English language acquisition at home.
For parents and caregivers who may need translation assistance during the meeting, we will have Spanish-speaking advocates available from Culture Connect (formerly Young Rhinebeck). In addition there will be a video segment offered in several languages, should there be a need. Childcare will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
Questions or concerns about this evening or ENL services, may be directed to Emily Davison, Director of Special Education, at 871-5570 ext. 5512.
