District Provides Updated Information on Transportation Program for Wednesday, Oct 7
Once again this morning, all BMS/RHS buses arrived this between 7:15 am and 7:27 am. Also, CLS buses arrived on time this morning, although Bus Route #2 arrived a few minutes later than scheduled. That said, all BMS/RHS and CLS buses departed on time this afternoon.
We are working with our drivers and with Allways East management to address the ongoing issues that remain, some with Bus Route #2, and a handful of isolated situations on a few other routes. In the interest of getting these modifications right, we plan to implement those changes effective Tuesday, October 13, the day after the Columbus Day holiday this Monday.
This will involve the addition of the new small bus route, which will provide some relief on Route #2, and some minor changes to several other routes to enable all BMS/RHS to arrive by 7:20 am and providing plenty of time for the drivers to start their CLS pick up routes each morning. Parents whose routes or pick-up times will change will be called and will receive a new bus schedule in the mail.
Also, Allways East has just hired two new permanent drivers who are experienced and familiar with the area. We have been told to expect these two drivers to start on Tuesday, October 13.
Feedback from parents on pick up and drop off times and other issues as they may arise continues to be helpful in pinpointing specific problems.
