Labor Negotiations
The Board of Education is committed to reaching timely and fiscally responsible contract settlements with both the Association of Non-Instruction Employees and the Rhinebeck Teachers Association which improve the district's educational processes
.

 

Strategic Planning

The Board of Education, in collaboration with the District’s Administrative team, will finalize a model for the development of, and then develop a process for creating a multi-year Comprehensive Strategic Plan in support of our Comprehensive District Education Plan. This plan will incorporate, in addition to other aspects of District operations, Finance and Facilities as a priority.  The Board will initiate development of the Strategic Plan by June, 2008.

 

Website and Communications

Working with District Administration, the Board of Education will support a significant redesign of the District’s website.  Ease of use, timeliness of relevant information, and improving overall communications both from the District to the community, and the community to the District, are our priorities with enhancements  including, but not limited to:

·       A unified email communications system

·       Improved teacher web page flexibility

·       Multiple posting capability

·       Daily posting of scheduling and program changes

·       Additional offerings, such as online payment capability (school lunches, field trip and other payments), and the development of a comprehensive safety alert system to be utilized in the event of a school emergency.

 

Academic Programming to Meet the Needs of All Students

The Board of Education will commission the assessment of the District’s need for improved academic programming K-12 in order to meet the needs of every child at every level of achievement.
